Ellen Pace
LMFT,
LPC, LCDC
Hello. I am Ellen Pace and I have made Austin home for the last 30 years. After graduating from University of Texas-Austin, an advertising career, and being a full time mom, I pursued my interests and received a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Saint Edwards University as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). My experience includes work with individuals and couples struggling with relationships, unresolved childhood trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction and PTSD.
Finding a connection is the most important part of a therapeutic relationship. Authenticity, warmth, directness, confidentiality, compassion and personal life experience are necessary traits that I bring into our sessions. I have acquired the knowledge, skills and training to support clients therapeutically. I look beyond the surface and sensitively attend to tender wounds that come with life’s challenges.
Health and well-being is not something I tell others to do, but I practice it regularly. I support my mental, emotional and physical health by consistent exercise, yoga, meditation, walking, eating healthy foods, juices, and gardening and being in nature. I love to spend time with my husband, family, and friends and traveling to the beach or mountains as often as I can.
“I want you to get excited about who you are, what you are, what you have, and what can still be for you. I want to inspire you to see that you can go far beyond where you are right now.”
