Trauma Informed Therapy
Trauma significantly impacts the body, mind, and spirit, resulting in profound changes that can alter the brain’s alarm system and increase stress hormones. Healing from such experiences involves much more than simply understanding the nature of trauma; it requires the intentional creation of both physical and emotional safety. In a compassionate and supportive therapeutic environment, we will explore unresolved wounds, identify various obstacles that may prevent you from leading a fulfilling life, and foster a path to healing. Addressing trauma leads to greater resilience and improved emotional health in individuals. Learn more >>
Equine-Assisted Therapy
Equine-Assisted Therapy utilizes the unique qualities of horses to assist clients in addressing a variety of emotional and psychological problems. This therapeutic approach is particularly beneficial for individuals who are grappling with trauma, attachment issues rooted in childhood, and various relationship struggles. Such challenges may manifest as deep-seated feelings of mistrust, an overwhelming difficulty in sharing past experiences, and patterns of harmful behaviors that can undermine relationships.
Currently, I am only consulting for Equine Therapy programs and am not able to offer individual client sessions.
CHILDHOOD TRAUMA & ATTACHMENT WOUNDS
Have you ever felt secure and confident, only to suddenly feel sad, angry, or fearful after a triggering event? This is common for those with unresolved childhood trauma, where early wounds can leave child parts of ourselves frozen in time, affecting our adult responses to stress. I utilize aspects of IFS, EMDR and DNMS therapies to address vulnerable parts of ourselves that feel stuck. This approach creates space to explore feelings, fostering understanding and compassion between the “adult self” and the “wounded child.” The process promotes personal growth, enabling individuals to move forward rather than be held back by past pain.
